me and my family stayed at Premier Suites for 3 days 2 nights where absolutely privacy is guaranteed..we loved the private pool, we enjoyed the activities that were provided such as archery etc..the food is quite good..we came during the school holidays so its quite packed when we are having our breakfast but the management were well prepared..thats okay for me..but the downfall for me is they have limited space for car park and they don't have a beach..

This was our 1st time at GrandLexis. It didn't disappoint. I came here with the expectation of receiving the same kind of service I would expect from any resorts/hotels in Malaysia. You know what I mean, the kind of lukewarm feeling like how they could treat their guests better, like having expections (not a very high one at that) and then sorely disappointed at the end of the day. Also, I was expecting the interior to be run down already by now, poorly maintained as in most cases for hotels/resorts in M'sia.
HOWEVER, Grand Lexis changed all that. From 18-20 May, 3 ladies stayed at Garden Pool Villa Room 219 for a good, wholesome, total relaxing 3D/2N. Right from the time we checked-in (checking-in was a breeze, contrary to what other reviewers mentioned. We checked-in after 4pm) until the day we checked-out, we left with nothing but good impressions. Shortly after checking-in, we requested for additional towels, toiletries and ironing board. Our request was granted within a short time. The hospitality was nothing but pleasant. All staffs, from the Managers to housekeeping staffs, they were always welcoming and will greet you.
Now, let's talk about the villa. Environment was quiet without the feeling of being isolated. The only thing was, the pool water was harsh cold when we first took our dip inside. It gets better subsequently though it was still cold. Cable TV could provide more channels I suggest cos right now they are limited. No HBO, no MTV. Breakfast was great, no complaints there. We love the scented lemongrass candle on the breakfast table, it makes a nice calming setting.
We opted to dine it at Duyung on Sunday night, expecting a buffet spread. But sadly, Grand Lexis do not offer buffet on Sunday evenings. We were quite disappointed, having settled for ala-carte fried rice, fried yellow noodle (mee goreng lukut) and fried kway teow) which we could have just ordered via room-service. The menu selections at Duyung were exactly the same as the room service menu. Grand Lexis should tweak and add variety to the menu for diners at the restaurant if they don't offer buffet. Nasi goreng was more worthy at RM26 with sate, fried chicken wing and wanton as the side. The same couldn't be said for our simple cooked-up fried kway teow and fried noodle - at the same price of RM26. It's totally high priced.
So well, you have it. Except for those few glitches, overall i give Grand Lexis a thumbs-up. It is a place where I will definitely opt to go for a short getaway. The hospitality and great service from the staffs throughout our stay totally made up for it.
Oh yes! We love our bed! 2 king sized, wrapped with super comfy, crispy bedlinens and cushy pillows. This is powerfull stuff people! Aside from the pool, which we thoroughly enjoy our dipping sessions, we spent most of our time in bed. :) Day felt like night when we were in the villa.

This is a good getaway place for family. This is our 4th visit to this hotel. We enjoy the quiet and relaxing environment. We have stayed deluxe, executive and premium pool villa before. So this time we decided to try out the garden view-deluxe suite. The checking was fast, maybe there was no queue during weekday. We purposely chose to go during weekdays. Less crowd and easier to use the hotel facilities. Garden Deluxe Suite is located in front of the hotel. It is very convenient as we can park our car right in front of the room. We can easily take our bags into the room without getting any hassle. Although, the room is called as Deluxe Suite, it is a bit small compare to the others room that we have stayed before. But it is ok for a family of 4 like us. The room is ok but the management should do something about cleanliness. We can see dust around the corners and under the bed. Though the dust is only seen on corners, but for a 5 Star hotel, this shouldn't be happening. As for the pool, it is great. My kids have fun playing in the pool. And it is great to go there during weekdays, the main pool is clear and you will get to enjoy swimming without worry of bumping into others. For breakfast, it is good and there are variety of food that you can chose. My kids enjoy the breakfast there. We also did called for room service as we didn't want to go out for dinner. We order fried rice and pizza, and the food taste good. No regret for ordering the food especially the pizza. Overall the stay is great. But I do hope the management improve on the cleanliness, if not, it will definitely deter people from visiting again. One more thing, the management should also improve the friendliness of frontline staffs. People visiting there for holiday and it would make the visit more memorable if the staffs are more friendly and smiley.

Having your own pool is wonderful when traveling with children. The rooms are very big and comfortable. The customer servcies is excellent throughout, the Japanese restaurant serves very good food. Children's swimming pool and slides great fun for little ones. This is a very quiet place and excellent for relaxing as a family.

took a premium pool villa bout two weeks ago...a bit pricey RM1+++ but i'm very satisfied with the services & the room...there's a double twin king size bed, large room, nice private pool with the ocean's view & there's also a glass in the middle of the room to see the ocean's below eventhough we can't see a fish through it due to the troubled wates...it's a excellent experience & my kids seem enjoyed stay there...their smile on their face is priceless...the breakfast is just nice & very crowded...other than that everything is excellent...

Chose this hotel as we need a short, stress free n relaxing trip, away frm city life.check in n check out was fast.expect the hotel to b crowded as it was spore school holiday but it was quiet.a plus point for me n hubby as we can have a really quiet time together..we booked the deluxe pool but got a executive instead.maybe due to the low crowd... Staff: friendly..greeted us when ever they saw us.. Room: marvellous...love the private pool to the max as we can swim at wateva time we want. Fridge need to b fix as it was not cold enough. Breakfast:a variety spread frm asian to western Price : quite ex but worth There is no exquisite restaurant xcept for seafood stall everywhere. There is also mcdonald n supermarket at their new pd waterfront . Travelling would b better with ur own transport as walking around is not advisable.

Everything was excellent as the comments of the others who have stayed. A wonderful hotel in Port Dickson.!! However for those beach lovers, there is no beach in this hotel. The rooms are really spacious and we had a comfortable stay. However the buffet breakfast is not so superb, need to have more varities i guess. Very worth for money even if it is expensive.

A nice place for families and friends. Suitable for big groups. Check in was fast and we were taken to our rooms in a buggy. We stayed in premium pool villa. Booked two rooms side by side since we were there with my brother's family. Rooms were big, spacious, clean and the private pool was simply awesome. Buffet breakfast was good. Many activities for the grown ups and kids. We had a great time there. Definitely will go there again....

A great place for relaxation with friends or families.. We stayed at the Sky Pool Villa. Room is spacious and clean while the private pool is simply awesome! Equipped with enough lighting, it makes late night swimming more enjoyable and romantic..
Check in and check out was fast and hassle-free.. Breakfast was good with varieties and kids had lots of fun in the games room too..! We will definitely be back for more..

Check in was over in less than two minutes. Was brough to our room with the buggy. The room is very spacious and clean. The private in room swimming pool is something my family look forward to. But some tiles of the pool are falling off and this needs to be rectify by the hotel immediately. Breakfast was simply awesome with many choice of dishes. But what really impress me most is the hotel staffs are simply friendly and attend to your queries readily. There are even security staffs who patrol the dark corridors even at 3 in the morning. A must try for those who want a relaxing gateaway.

We stayed at the Grand Lexis during the peak season. There were alot of guests around, using the resort facilities. Upon arrival, check-in was easy and quick. However, our room was not ready. Due to the busy period, people were still checking-out and rooms were being cleaned and sorted. We went to a nearby town for lunch. They promised to give us a call once our room was ready, which they did. We got the garden villa room with 2 king-size beds and our own outdoor private pool. Even though it was outdoors, it was clear that they strategically placed the pool to be surrounded by high trees as it provided enough privacy for the both of us. The pool is only 4m deep. It was still fun and relaxing for the both of us.
The room also comes with a dry kitchen, which means a microwave and 2 sets of utensils and cutleries. The fridge is quite small but it was enough to keep our drinks cold. I suggest to bring your own can drinks in order to cut costs. During our stay, we ordered room service from the in-house restaurant. The food was delicious. It is quite expensive as compared to local prices but after the exchange rate, it's about the same price as a meal in Australia, so it was alright for us. I would also suggest to bring it your own food (if you can) that will allow you to heat it up in the microwave. We did that too, but we had to ration it as we stayed for 3 nights. Keep in mind the size of the fridge too.
The buffet breakfast was good. They had a wide variety of local food and a few western delights. I suggest to go for the local food as they seem to be much more delicious than the western dishes provided. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful when you ask them questions. Some might not speak English therefore, you might want to ask them first if they can communicate in English. As I speak Malay, it was easy for us to get around. Check-out was easy too as we called the Bell boys to assist us with our luggage while we went to check out.
Overall, I would suggest to stay here if you would like time away from the busy city, like Singapore or KL. The price might be costly, depending on exchange rates. However, our experience was unforgettable and enjoyable. We will definitely return in the near future.

This was our first stay here. We checked into the Grand Pool Villa and we got the room facing the sea! And thoroughly enjoyed the sun set!!! And the room looks exactly like the photo on their website. Enough for a family of 4-5 it came with two King sized beds and an in-room pool to the wonderment of the kids. It had the most comfortable beds and pillows. Oh and just to so that you know, premier guests are actually entitled to a 'Pillow Menu' where you can choose the pillows you like. First time for me! Check-in was hassle free and buggies to and fro rooms were also always available on call. The best part is that there was Wifi in the room. Lots of things for kids to do here -- archery, kmx biking, segway, games arcade -- to name a few. Their buffet Breakfast was the best, i must say in PD so far. Their Japanese restaurant served some awesome Californian Rolls and Rolled Makis. PD standard, thumbs up! Staff were friendly and mostly locals which is so welcoming to see. I personally loved the walk-in closet/bathroom -- so spacious -- all our luggage can be placed there instead of in the lounge area, no clutter. Hot water, wifi, in-room pool, spacious, great food and service! Thumbs up, Grand Lexis PD! Will surely return.

Zaidrazak Great place to stay for the family
I stayed here on the first wkend of Dec, and booked a large suite for my family and a slightly smaller suite for my family. I had a pleasant surprise when the lady at the front desk upgraded me to the larger suite so that I could be right next door to my family :)
The suites were ok. We were slightly disappointed to see that the sea was so murky, but this is PD after all. My family enjoyed the private pool, and the cooking facilities.
The rooms are a bit on the expensive side, but the family loved it and that's all that mattered, really.
A shoutout must go to Ms Mahadevy (hope I got her name right), who was a very friendly and enthusiastic presence on the front desk. Thanks again for the upgrade! :)
In short: a delightful resort if you want to spend time with a big family :)

adazaf Great Private Pool
We stayed here for two nights. Check in was swift and we were brought to our villa by buggy. It was well within short walking distance, even for the furthest unit. Walking around at night was also great.
We were pleasantly surprised to see the large room with 2 large king sized beds, plus separate kitchen area and not forgetting the private pool. Plenty of space for 4 of us in the family. The poll was partially covered therefore no problems having a dip, rain or shine. Access to the pool can also be locked, especially important for those with very young children for safety reason. Housekeeping was efficient. It appeared that the staff made regular rounds providing service to change used towels. Overall a great and pleasant stay.

Kolkani Nice for a Weekend Getaway - Great Staff
WE are expats living in KL and this place is just a short drive away. Stayed in a premium pool villa. Nicely appointed, great beds and pillows, own pool although the water was a little cold, but the main pool is nice and warm with plenty of space. The Grand Lexis has all the offerings of a good 4-4.5 star hotel. The staff at this place are their biggest assett. Jeffrey the "golden keys" Concierge and his team are awesome, nothing is too much trouble, always pleasant, smiling, welcoming and professional. Actually all staff we came in contact with were friendly and engaging and genuinely want to make your stay as good as possible. The restaurant breakfast is great with lots of variety and the usual food stations including egg cooking, roti, noodle bar etc. All food tasted good and was professionally presented, the chef always visible. Good job Grand Lexis PD.

CassieLeow from Malaysia A weekend getaway
The atmosphere of the place is very very nice, especially if you take the above the sea water villas.
Fishing/Crabbing is also interesting, during my stay there were several catches. In general, the staff there were very very friendly. Occasionally one or two that looked sour but not enough to ruin your holiday. Lots of happening in the lobby during the afternoon; selling lots of food like ice cream, or local delights. I'm not sure about the Garden villas, but during the afternoon, a man will push a cart around the villa areas selling ice cream. The ice cream isn't cheap, but it's a pleasant idea. The usage of the golf buggies also make it interesting. Since it was near Halloween when I travelled, the Japanese restaurant that my family had dinner at gave away toy swords and soft toys to all the kids there. That was definitely a surprise. We ordered room service too, and the food was alright, nothing to shout about but it's still good. If you're here for the beach, you can forget it about. There is no access to the beach near the villas. However, there is a beach located just beside the Grand Lexis, which is the Lexis resort. There is a tiny beach there, when I mean tiny, I mean, REAL tiny. Well maybe if you're lucky the tide may go out and the beach will be a bit bigger? The activities there are not bad, things like the KMX bikes, Segway, archery, Giant snakes and ladders; enough to take some of your time during the afternoon/evening. If you stay here, chances are most of the time you will be in the room playing by the pool. Overall, a pleasant place to stay, especially in big groups (it's so fun to play with a big group in the pool xD).

Kennyahm Excellent Villa with Private Swimming Pool
Room: Stay at Premium Pool Villa which offered 2 King size beds that can accommodate 6 persons. Room is spacious enough with 1000++ square feet. Have glass panel for undersea watch but sadly the ocean is dirty. There are lots of amenties inside such as 4-7 types of 3 in 1 drinks. The room itself have a swimming pool which enlighten the kids to swim till evening. Just love it.... Nice king bed and we are tiredly fall asleep with its softness :)
Bathroom: Separate toilet and bathroom. Not to worry about getting sick waiting for turn to take bath. plenty of amenties available. toothbrush, shaver and etc... complete. Clean but only one thing is there are NO HANGER to hang towers or cloth inside the bathroom. need to open the door and hang it outside.
Dinning - Food are nice and variety of choice. since my stay is during Hari Raya, most food are in Malay cuisine but the Sambal Sotong is really nice. :) Even dinner... we had a great dinner. thank you for the hotel understanding for not charging my fren 4 year old daughter as she just only ate 1 egg. :)
Location: If you are 1st time to Port Dickson, locating this hotel a little bit hard as there are limited signboard to direct where the hotel is. We drove about 20 minutes before we came by a signboard that indirectly pointed the hotel as the signboard for LEXIS and Grand Lexis is 50 metres far which tells us that Grand Lexis located far more inside compare Lexis.. however it is actually NEXT TO EACH OTHER. Hahahahahaha
Service: Honestly, this resort is popular. 1st time ever I need to queue up for check-in... not 2 person but 10-20 person as there are 6 check-in counter open to cater the busy check-in guest. Service a little bit slow but overall the hotel experience lead us to forget the problem. Hehehe

Watai Love my second visit
Hi all, my family of 3 children and I stayed here for our weekend getaway. We stayed in the executive pool villa. It sport a 2 king size bed. Room was clean but bedding was quite soft. We all love the private pool, it has a roof on top so the pool is shaded from direct sunlight. Kids just love it and we have such a great time. If you're here, please try their Mee Goreng Mamak from the room service. To me, it was the best mee goreng mamak. Overall it was good, but beware of small ants if you leave food on the table.

Safgirl from Singapore Nice Resort
I was there with my family and domestic helper from 7-9Sep. Check-in was a breeze. My special request made through email earlier for a baby cot and a ground floor unit was met. Room was spacious (garden pool villa) and all appliances were in good working condition.
Minor setback would be as follows:
Seems the door to the shower was pretty transparent at different times of the day and since there is no door separating the shower/toilet area from the pantry, it's a little inconvenient when you need to stay in the sleeping/sitting area to avoid unwanted "sightings" but you really have to use the pantry.
There is not enough hooks in the shower room itself to hang your towel and clothes so you hve to sneak your arm out to hang the clothes on the hook outside the shower room.
Pool water is cold (because it's totally sheltered) but my kids couldn't care less. It's me who didn't dare enter.. hehe!
Breakfast spread was better on our 1st morning.. 2nd morning wasn't as impressive but not totally disappointing.
Buggy service (which we really made full use of) was not bad but on one occasion no buggy turned up even after 2 phone calls made to the reception.
My in laws took the Deluxe Suite which is a newer wing. This room's shower area has a door separating it from the sleeping area and the pantry so this is a good layout. But it's smaller than Garden Pool Villa though. The pool water is not as cold as it's exposed to the sun (and possible rain).
In conclusion, I would go back there again. Once I've saved enough to afford the high price ;p

Isha from Malaysia Beautiful experience on the water chalet
One word... Beautiful. Arrived in the afternoon and checked in. They then sent a buggy to send me to my room. Great service. It has a very romantic ambience to it. I could just open my room door and walk into my own private pool. The room had a small glass floor where i could see into the sea but unfortunately, the sea water was brown...so nothing fascinating anyways. Lovely architecture. The washroom concept was lovely but sad that they made the shower cubicle small but the entire washroom on its own is huge and beautiful...luxurious balinese concept like. It was quiet and private.. :) best escape away from the city. Buggy services were quick and on time. Room services were great .. Tasty food sent to the room. Something different from the norm ;)

Vsajean from Malaysia Awesome Holiday Getaway
The entrance of the hotel already fascinating~
There's quite a number of GOOD POINT which i really have to say.
The staffs over there..ALL OF THEM..are very friendly and helpful.. Every one of them greet you in a very polite way and smile =D GOOD POINT~! That's really important you know.. I remembered on the last day before we leave.. I left my phone in the hotel room... i was so panic as that time my mum had already checked out..>< I quickly tell the staff at lobby she quickly bring me back to the hotel and find it.. At last the housekeeper already took it and placed it back to the lobby~! Honest...GOOD POINT again!
Before i travel here..i once gather some reviews through internet about this hotel.. I found out some of them are complaining that the car park is way too far from the rooms.. YES...it is.. BUT.... The staff over there kindly provide "taxi" BUggy car for us to ride on! GOOD POINT~!!
Reached our hotel room.. We rented the Pool Villa... awesomeness..... I once went to some sort of seaside hotels.. They had some mushy salty pillows and beds which kills our mood right away。《 BUT Grand Lexis provided fresh and clean bedsheets and pillows! The pool is clear and clean.. Me and my cousins are very great times over there~! We didnt even bother to go to the public swimming pool.
OH YAH...talking about the public swimming pool.. There's a lil problem/situation which the hotel management have to take note.. The last step of the staircase has a HUGE gap between the shallow step and the existing real depth.. My aunt nearly step and fell with her baby>< she by then hurt her ankle due to she has to safe her baby from danger.. I suggest the staff can place a CAUTION sticker or map over there.. Just to warn the other visitors in future. =) ** I HOPE YOU GUYS SEE THIS AS THIS IS THE ONLY BAD POINT FOR ME TOWARDS THIS HOTEL**
Otherwise everything is PERFECT~!!!!! Keep up the good work and I will DEFINITELY go back there for a short holiday getaway!!^^

Nitty Scherzinger from Singapore Great place to relax
Stayed for 2 nights. The room was huge which has a private pool inside. There is a kitchen as well. Large LCD Tv. Bathroom was quite small. One is for private business and one is for bathing. It comes with two huge bed. Room was quite a distance form the entrance and the breakfast area. Breakfast was great. A lot of varieties to choose from. But to go out for shopping is not a good idea as you need to charter a transport to and fro. There is no taxi available around there.

George A Stayed at the Grand Lexis for a night @ Grand Deluxe suite. They have a private lap pool , 4 feet depth - was good fun as we were a large group . some of us converged into a single pool.
The positives - hotel is great of kids and senior citizens alike....especialy if you are a large family. Good service overall. Secure parking.
The hotel does not have a beach. There is no beach in the vicinity for that matter. No water sports whatsoever. The resort next door has a walk path along the water edge...no sandy beach though!
In a summary....there is nothing to do in PD other than the seafood and other the resort you stay.

Ros-n-Kids Great place for tired parents to unwind in airconditioned comforts of the hotel room while still keeping an eye on the kids playing in the pool. The partly sheltered pool was a bit deep for the very young ones, (around 1 metre). The room's king-sized beds were big enough to fit a family of 4-5, Breakfast spread was good. In terms of location, there is really not much to see or do. You have to drive out if you want eat outside of the hotel. Or you can go to the supermarket nearby and cook using the hotel room's microwave..

Yati1810 I was here twice.. first was way back in 2009, 2 months after i gave birth to my daughter. The hotel was named The Legend International Water Homes back then. It was somehow changed to Grand Lexis now. The amenities was great, lots of activities offered.
The room is clean and well maintained. The best part is the private pool inside the room. No matter what is the weather outside, you can always have a dip since the pool is covered (depending on the room type - if I am not mistaken, Garden Pool type room does not have covered pool).
Other than swimming, lots of other activities are there. You can purchase the activity pasport, at RM68 per booklet. It is basically a booklet of voucher that can be used, tht includes segway, archery, table tennis, cycling, game tokens, wii games and many more. There's also a 30& discount voucher in the booklet. Such a good value, so go purchase the activity pasport if you intend to do other activities as well.
Food-wise ok. Breakfast is good with quite a good selection. Nasi lemak is good but the chicken curry is not tasty. The rest is good.
Another plus point is the buggy. You can call the buggy from the hotel room or go get them in front of the lobby if you want to go back to your room. Buggy service is provided 24hours a day, but limited number of buggy are available after 11pm, which is quite ok considering that you might be sound asleep after a packed day.

ghoulies_2 This hotel is just next to the Lexis Port Dickson hotel which have the same concept as Grand Lexis Port Dickson. Both of them offers standard hotel rooms and also water chalets built on stilts out in the water.
We went there in a group of 4 adults and booked 2 water chalets:
- Deluxe pool villa on "bottom" floor - Grand pool villa on "upper" floor.
The Grand pool villa room is a bit bigger with double king sized beds but the deluxe pool villa room with 1 king size bed is definitely not small. Both the rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Bathrooms are spacious, clean, and no improvement needed at all there.
In the room on the bottom floor there was a 40x40cm(?) glass "peep hole" in the floor so that you can see the water. A nice thought but kind of useless since you wont be able to see anything but dirty water and garbage through it (Port Dickson water is not clean).
The big difference between the rooms is the private pool which comes with every of the water chalet rooms.
The grand pool villa's pool (outside and no roof) is really great, it's definitely big enough for adults to enjoy a swim and if you're lucky with the weather (clear blue sky while i stayed) you can really enjoy and relax out in your own private garden with pool.
The deluxe pool villa is a bit small for adults, i think it might be useful for kids to play around in but for adults i felt like it's more like an oversized bathtub.
The cost of the Grand pool villa is obviously higher than the deluxe pool villa but i would say that it's worth the extra dollars and recommend anyone going to this resort to opt for the Grand Pool Villa rooms. I have not seen the grand pool villa room on bottom floor but i suspect that the pool there will have a roof cover.
As for food&breakfast at the resort i will give them an OK rating for a resort in this price range. Not impressed with it but also not disappointed.
As for the staff I was satisfied with their help and quick response in any matters (at first i was given a Grand Villa on bottom floor even though we had booked the upper floor, this was quickly handled by the staff). The buggy service which offers transport to your room had a good response time.
If you travel without a car it might be a bit troublesome to get anywhere outside the hotel, there's nothing interesting within walking distance and P.D town is a couple of kilometers away. Of course there are taxis in P.D but they're not that many and forget about getting a ride on meter ;) If you take a taxi to P.D town make sure to arrange with the driver to fetch you back to the resort later.

Got a free upgrade to the premium executive villa. The room comes with 2 king size beds which is a plus point when travelling with kids. The room size is big for a hotel standard - abt 800 sqf that comes with a private pool. The room and the pool are very clean. Bathroom is of a good size with good quality bathroom amenities. The room comes with free breakfast and the selection is quite good. My kid loves the general pool in the hotel as well. Generally, was very happy with the stay. One small complain i find that the lcd tv in the room is too small b'cos of the room size - so u can't watch it from the bed.

Stay 1 night here on around June 2011. Wah... feeling really great. Like the concept they have here. Private swimming pool, 2 king bed size (I take an Executive Room), big toilet and big kitchen area. It have everything here. One thing that I think they have to change is their breakfast menu and taste. I think they should get better chef here. Because the food was not good & not delicious enough. Other than that, everything was fine. Their staff was very helpful and friendly.

This was a last minute decision to stay during the school holidays. Just 1 hour drive from KL but so far from all the hecticness. I went with hubby and our 3 girls and we took the 3days 2nights family package.
Once we had arrived, check-in was a breeze. We had one of the rooms that was overlooking the seabed. My girls immediately noticed the floor "window" as we walked into the room. But the main attraction was of course, the in-room swimming pool. My girls shrieked (I use the word appropriately) with joy when they say it. Immediately, they changed into their swimming gear and plunged in. The 3 of them practically became mermaids in the pool and would have stayed in there for hours. We finally dragged them all out when it was time to get ready for dinner. They were so tired out that they fell right asleep after dinner.
The next morning, hubby and I went for breakfast. We didn't take the girls because the package only included breakfast for two. Kids (ages 4-12) cost RM37.75 per head for breakfast, which is very expensive considering my kids only need toast and cereal. I must say the breakfast spread was quite disappointing. For starters, no nasi lemak. They only had porridge which is basically hospital food, so yucks! They had a good salad bar though and made a mean omelet. I liked the omelet!
The dinner buffet was slightly better. They had sate, curry mee and white rice with various dishes. I liked the peanut sauce that came with the sate. Also the curry mee was no bad.
The public pools were very nice too. They had one for adults and one for kids, complete with a water playground.
Overall, it was a nice trip. I paid RM1200 for the package which is rather high but worth it. The in-room pool was such a hit with the kids. The beds were super comfy and the pillow super plushy. We got a room that had 2 king beds, so one bed was for hubby and I while the girls conquered the other. From the bedroom, you go through the kitchen to the bathrooms. The kitchen had a microwave and plates and utensils. The bathroom was split between the toilet and shower room. There's a sliding door that opens up to the in-door swimming pool.
Would I go again? Most probably. My kids had great fun and I got my much needed rest too.

Coci “Definitely a great getaway for the family”

My husband booked this hotel as a surprise getaway for my birthday. He had problem booking online for the Premium/Executive villa on the Sea, so he booked the Deluxe Room. Upon arriving about 6pm, immediately he requested for an upgrade but the recept replied that all Premium and Executive Villa were fully occupied. However, upon checking the following morning, another recept said that there were actually 2 rooms available at that time we checked in. The bellboys were all very helpful. We were sheltered into a buggy to our villa as it was raining. The room was very clean with a dry Kitchenette. Very well oriented furniture settings. They welcomed us with a fruit platter. The 2 king size beds were very comfortable. We had our dinner at the Japanese Restaurant. Do double check the price with the waitress before ordering per plate sushi. Price can mean per plate also can be for per piece. But ultimately we are surprised how delicious the meal turn out. Really worth the money. If you intend to go for the spa, do book them earlier even before you arrived. They hardly have any slot available. The game room are very spacious. They just started issuing package coupons at RM68 . Do get it for good saving if you intent to explore all the activities. There are sand art and Batik Painting to keep the little ones occupied. Also obstacle course, cycling, fishing, WII game, Sumo Wrestling, archery, etc. The private pool was much cleaner than the common pool. Do note your voice can be heard over the next door swimming area. Besides that, those with small kids, please do be cautious that the ledge on the door to the private pool is reachable by young kids. The breakfast buffet spread was just average and they provide a variety of spicy dishes, so there are limited choice for the younger ones. There are Taiwanese porridge, steam buns, cereal, toast but no cakes and pastry. We had dinner at the same restaurant that serve breakfast and the food was great. The cakes were fabulous and rich. My kids and helper love the Ice Creams~Banana Split. I would like to give them a 5 stars if not because for the misinformed booking by the receptionist and the limited breakfast spread as compared to other hotel that I've visited. Another concern is the security. As our room is located along with the villas a short distance away from the main lobby and it is accessible by anyone from the main road. We don't see any guard at the barricade. This really is a concern even though they have security system installed on the room main door. Do bring insect repellant, scented candle/incense to ward off the insects. I've attached some photos. Hope it helps you to make a choice. Do remember, if your budget allow, do go for the Exec/Premium Room on the Sea. I managed to snap a few pictures while the cleaner was cleaning and vacuuming the private pool. |

I would highly recommend this hotel for family stay with kids . The room is big with private pool attached, my kids love it. Overall service quality is good too where you wouldn't experience in most of the hotel in Malaysia. It resembles very much of a Balinese style setting, very relaxing !

This is my second time I came to this place. I booked a deluxe suite as others were fully booked due to school holidays. My first visit was garden pool villa. As expected, the room was cosy, spacious and very comfortable for me and my family. My son really enjoyed the private pool very much and most of his time time was spent there. The free wifi was very helpful and the facilities in the room was awesome! the place was near the town and public beach too..I will surely come back again and try other types of rooms!

Definitely a place which I will return again next year. The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Love the private pool at Deluxe Pool Villa and next year I will gonna try the Executive Pool Villa which comes with full sea view. Buggy services were friendly, helpful and also very prompt and they arrived within a couple of minutes to fetch you from your room to wherever you wish to go around the hotel vicinity and also back to your room. Buffet breakfast at Duyung restaurant was below par, nothing to shout about. Would be great if they could improve on the food choices and quality.
I enjoyed the stay here very much. Overall staff service was excellent. Private pool was an enjoyment. Room interior was huge, clean, luxury and beautiful.

Rina Rin Sodar I would like to thank GLPD for a wonderful stay. My husband and I were there to celebrate our 11th anniversary with our 2 boys, and we were given a complimentary cake, thanks to Ms Normala, the asst. reservations manager. The front-desk officers were also helpful in recommending to us the attractions in PD. In fact, all the staff in GLPD were friendly and helpful, always wearing a smile on their faces. Our boys enjoyed the private pool and the buggy rides. In all, our stay was a pleasant one. Thank you GLPD for a memorable holiday! |

Aisyarahman from Petaling Jaya, Selangor "A Room that has it all"
The room that we got was at the new block and it was very very spacious and pretty. If you plan on staying here, check out their main website, they offer hot deals there. We have a spacious room with 2 king beds, flat screen, DVD player, kitchen with plates, bowls and cutlery which were well kept in the cabinet, a big toilet which separates the bathing area and no.1/2 area and finally, a swimming pool overlooking the sea.
We didn't even go out during our stay as we had everything in our room. We brought our own griller and grilled steaks for dinner. Would definitely come back when time and money permits.

Have not visited PD for a very long time. Friends recommended this hotel for a short holiday. Was surprised that the room really got a pool and large space. Although the ppol is not big but its good enough for us to splash around... Tried their archery game, good set up. Overall service was ok, best of all free wifi.
